How we use AI

Last updated: November 5, 2026

AI does the busywork. People make the calls.

We build AI into everything we sell, so we hold ourselves to a simple rule: you should always know when you are talking to AI, what it is doing with your information, and how to reach a person. This page is that promise, in writing.

Our promises

  1. AI always says it is AI. First sentence of every call. First text. Every time you ask.
  2. A human is one word away. Say "person" on a call, text HUMAN, or email us. We answer.
  3. You can say no to AI. Ask, and we will handle you without it.
  4. We record only after we tell you. Never secretly.
  5. We do not sell your data. Not to anyone, not ever.
  6. We do not train our own AI on your data.
  7. AI never decides about you alone. Prices, contracts, and anything that matters get a human.

Where AI shows up

Short answer: our phone line, our messages, our research, and the previews we build.

  • Our phone line. When you call (240) 693-3343, an AI voice agent answers. It tells you so in its first sentence. It can answer questions, take your details, and book a time.
  • Texts and email. AI may draft, sort, and summarize messages. It may send a reply on its own for simple things, like confirming a time. Anything about price, scope, or a commitment comes from a person.
  • Your form. When you send us the Get Started form, AI reads it, sorts it, and drafts our first reply.
  • Research. AI looks at public information about a business: its website, its Google listing, its reviews. We use that to build your Grader score and your preview.
  • Previews. AI helps build a preview website (a Pro Page) for your business. It is a draft for you to look at. It is not live, and it does not claim to be your site.
  • The Grader. AI and simple scripts score how a business shows up online, including in AI search. Scores are estimates. We show where each finding came from.

What AI never does

  • Pretend to be a person.
  • Sign you up, charge you, or change your contract.
  • Make a final decision about you.
  • Record you without telling you first.
  • Invent a number. If we cannot source it, we do not show it.

When a person steps in

Short answer: whenever money, commitments, or a problem is involved, or whenever you ask.

A person reviews every proposal, price, and contract before it reaches you. A person handles complaints and anything the AI is unsure about. You can ask for a person at any point.

Talk to a human

  • Call: (240) 693-3343 and say "person."
  • Text: HUMAN to the same number.
  • Email: [email protected]

We aim to reply within 24 hours.

Opt out of AI

Tell us "no AI" by email or text, and we will mark your record. After that, a person handles your calls, messages, and requests. It may be slower. It will not cost you more.

To stop texts, reply STOP. To stop email, use the unsubscribe link. Opting out of marketing does not stop messages you need, like a reply to something you asked us.

Recordings

Short answer: calls with our AI agent may be recorded and transcribed. We tell you first.

We record so the agent can answer accurately and so we have a record of what was said. Maryland and several other states require everyone on a call to agree to recording, so we tell you at the start. If you would rather not be recorded, hang up and email us instead. Our meeting notetaker announces itself by name before it records a video meeting.

We keep recordings and transcripts for 90 days unless you ask us to delete them sooner or the law requires us to keep them.

Your data and AI training

Short answer: we do not sell it, and we do not train our own AI on it.

To do its job, the AI has to read what you send. That means your information passes through the AI providers we use (listed in our Privacy Policy). They act on our instructions.

AI can be wrong

AI makes mistakes. It can mishear a name, misread a review, or get a number wrong. We check what matters before it reaches you, and we label estimates as estimates. If something looks off, tell us and we will fix it.

For our clients' customers

Some local businesses use our assistant, Emily, to answer their calls and texts. When Emily speaks for a business, she says she is that business's AI assistant, and the business, not Market Bots, is responsible for how it uses her. Ask Emily for a person and she will connect you or take a message for the owner.
